Brian Qvale and Derek Selvig had 13 points each, and Chase Adams added 11 off the bench as Montana defeated Montana Tech 78-51 on Friday.
Qvale had nine rebounds for the Grizzlies (1-2).
Cole Conway had 19 points and nine rebounds for Montana Tech, an NAIA school that designated the game as an exhibition. The Orediggers are 0-6 this season.
Montana Tech led 5-3 three minutes into the game, but Montana - led by Selvig, who scored 10 of his points in the first half - then took control, going on a 37-14 run over the next 14:09. The Grizzlies had a 41-21 cushion at halftime and led by as many as 30 points in the second half.
