Kyle Weems hit a jumper with 1 second remaining to lift Missouri State to a 79-77 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night. It was the first victory in five games for the Bears (11-17), who snapped the Skyhawks' 11-game winning streak. Tennessee-Martin's Lester Hudson, who entered the game averaging 27.7 points, the second-highest total in the country, had foul trouble and finished with 20 points, equaling his season low. Hudson hit a jumper to give the Skyhawks (19-7) a 75-71 lead with 3:46 left, but Missouri State tied the score at 75-75 with 2:03 remaining. Both teams scored again, setting up Weems' last-second shot. Cardell McFarland and Will Creekmore scored 15 points each for the Bears. Chris Cooks had 14 points and Weems finished with 11. Marquis Weddle scored 26 points and Benzor Simmons added 11 for the Skyhawks.
