Michigan 76, Penn St. 69
Zack Novak scored all 15 of his points in the second half and Darius Morris scored a team-high 20 points as Michigan beat Penn State 76-69 on Sunday.
Novak's 3-point field goal with 1:44 remaining gave the Wolverines (11-3, 1-1 Big Ten) a four-point lead before Morris made four free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.
Talor Battle scored a game-high 31 points for Penn State (8-5, 1-1), which was trying to win its first two conference road games for the first time in three seasons.
Michigan, which trailed by as many as nine points in the first half, led 65-61 following a Morris basket with under four minutes to play. Jeff Brooks then scored for Penn State, but Novak then broke free on the perimeter and the Wolverines took control from there.
