Jordan Morgan scored a career-high 27 points, and Michigan held off a valiant Northwestern rally in a 75-66 win Wednesday night.

The Wolverines (15-10, 5-7 Big Ten) led 67-52 before the Wildcats scored 14 straight points late in the second half. Michigan's Darius Morris finally stopped the run with a pair of free throws with 2:16 remaining.

Morgan then blocked JerShon Cobb's shot and made a pair of baskets himself - the second an alley-oop dunk set up by Morris that made it 73-66.

Michael Thompson scored all 17 of his points in the second half for the Wildcats (14-9, 4-8).
