McNeese St. 70, Cent. Arkansas 63

P.J. Alawoya's ninth double-double of the season helped McNeese State defeat Central Arkansas 70-63 on Saturday.

Alawoya had 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Cowboys (13-7, 5-2 Southland), who led for almost the entire game. After Central Arkansas scored the game's first basket, McNeese State went ahead and led by as many as 10 in the first half. That lead stretched to 17 points when the Cowboys opened the second half on a 23-10 run.

C.J. Collins had 14 points for McNeese State, while Diego Kapelan and Patrick Richard added 12 each.

Mark Rutledge led Central Arkansas (5-15, 1-6) with 19 points and five assists. Imad Qahwash added 17 and Mike Pouncy had 12 for the Bears, who made just 14 of 25 free throws and were 5 for 25 on 3-point attempts.
