Marshall rolls to 90-67 win over Florida Atlantic

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) Ryan Taylor scored 21 points, James Kelly and Stevie Browning added 18 apiece and Marshall rolled to a 90-65 win over Florida Atlantic on Thursday.

Kelly had a career-high 15 rebounds and Taylor matched his career high with 11 as the Thundering Herd (6-9, 2-0 Conference USA) whipped the Owls on the boards 49-24. Browning had seven assists.

Adonis Filer had 17 points and Jeantal Cylla 13 for Florida Atlantic (2-13, 0-2) and Ronald Delph had 11 rebounds.

Terrence Thompson converted a 3-point play just past the midway point of the first half to give Marshall a 28-11 lead. Twice the Thundering Herd grabbed offensive rebounds, converting the first into Elmore's 3 and another into a Thompson layup, in a 7-0 burst that made it 42-24 late in the half.

Florida Atlantic trailed 42-26 at the break, shooting 26 percent, including just 1 of 12 from 3-point range.
