Manhattan 84, Siena 81
George Beamon scored a career-high 35 points and Manhattan held off a late rally by Siena to win 84-81 on Sunday, ending a three-game skid and splitting the season series.
The Jaspers (5-21, 3-12 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) never trailed and led by 18, at 66-48, with 6:35 to go.
Manhattan still led by 14 with 2:23 left when the Saints went on an 18-5 run to trail 82-81 with 23 seconds to go.
After the Jaspers' Demetrius Jemison missed two foul shots, Siena had possession, but Mohamed Koita stole the ball from OD Anosike.
Kidani Brutus made two free throws with 18 seconds left and the Saints missed three shots in the final 10 seconds.
Brutus finished with 20 points, tying his career high with five 3-pointers.
Jonathan Breeden scored 20 and Ryan Rossiter 19 for Siena (10-15, 7-8), which has lost three straight since beating Manhattan 64-57 on Feb. 4.
