Manassa, Martin lead Savannah State over NC A&T 75-68

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) Troyce Manassa and Chris Martin both went for 19 points, and Savannah State shot 37 free throws on its way to a 75-68 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.

Manassa was 13 of 16 from the line for the Tigers (5-8, 1-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who made 24 free as a team. Martin went 4 of 4 from the line and 5 of 9 on 3-pointers.

Sam Hunt hit 3-pointers on consecutive possessions to give North Carolina A&T (5-12, 2-1) a 44-41 lead with 13:53 remaining. But Manassa hit a jumper on the next trip down for the Tigers, sparking a 13-2 run over the next five minutes, and Savannah State controlled the game for the remainder.

Hunt led the Aggies with 19 points on 6-of-20 shooting. Ahmad Abdullah and Khary Doby added 13 apiece.
