Mackenzie's career night leads Bucknell past Richmond, 73-68
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Kimbal Mackenzie erupted for a career-high 25 points and Bucknell won its fourth straight game, knocking off Richmond, 73-68 on Wednesday night.
The Bison now have beaten Richmond three straight times and have evened the all-time series at three wins apiece. Bucknell has bounced back from a humbling, 26-point loss to Butler with a winning streak that includes a win over Vanderbilt, the school's first win over a Southeastern Conference team since 2006.
Mackenzie, who averaged seven points through his first four games, knocked down 9 of 15 shots from the field and was 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. Zach Thomas and Nana Foulland each added 14 points for the Bison (6-2).
T.J. Cline, who came in averaging better than 18 points per game, scored 22 points and Khwan Fore added another 19 for Richmond (4-3), which entered the game after a 67-54 win over Boston College.
