Justin Cerasoli had 19 points, J.R. Blount added 13 and Jordan Hicks scored 12 as Loyola of Chicago beat Detroit 67-41 on Wednesday night. Loyola (14-15, 6-11 Horizon League) never trailed in the game. Hicks and Cerasoli combined for 16 of the Ramblers' first 20 points as Loyola sped to a 22-8 lead midway through the first half. The Ramblers led 25-10 before Eulis Stephens led a brief rally for Detroit (7-19, 2-14) with seven consecutive points. Loyola then scored the final five points to take 31-17 lead at intermission. The Ramblers were aided by the Titans' 25 percent field-goal shooting (7-of-18) in the first half. Loyola built the lead steadily throughout the second half. Stephens was the only Titan in double figures, with 11. Ryan Janer added 8, all in the final six minutes. Loyola dominated the boards, outrebounding the Titans 36-35, and forced 24 turnovers by Detroit.
