Loyola (Md.) rallies to edge Fairfield 66-65

J'hared Hall scored 17 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer, as Loyola (Md.) rallied to defeat Fairfield 66-65 on Friday night, snapping the Stags' 11-game winning streak.

Hall's 3-pointer came with 2:03 left, then neither team could score until Fairfield's Yorel Hawkins hit 1 of 2 free throws for 64-62 with 5 seconds to go.

After Shane Walker's dunk sealed the win for the Greyhounds (7-9, 3-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), Derek Needham hit a 3 with 1 second left for the final margin.

Fairfield (12-4, 5-1) led 35-28 at halftime and pushed the lead to nine at 47-38.

Loyola then used a 16-5 run, sparked by seven straight points by Justin Drummond, to lead 54-52 with 8:34 left.

The Stags tied the game four more times, but could not regain the lead.

Walker added 14 points and Drummond 13 for the Greyhounds.

Needham led the Stags with 14 points.
