Jamal Barney scored a game-high 18 points as Loyola (Md.) used a second-half run to beat Dartmouth 73-59 on Sunday.
The Greyhounds (2-1) shot 25 for 50 from the field (50 percent) and outscored Dartmouth 40-26 in the second half to break a halftime tie.
Every Loyola starter grabbed at least three rebounds as the Greyhounds dominated on the glass, pulling down 41 as a team compared to 22 for the Big Green.
Loyola started the second half on a 23-9 run that lasted until the 7:49 mark and gave the Greyhounds a 56-42 lead.
David Rufful led Dartmouth (1-3) with 17 points, while Jabari Trotter was the only other Big Green player in double figures with 12 points.
Trotter made two free throws with 2:28 left in the game to pull Dartmouth within seven, 63-56. But that was as close as the score got the rest of the way as the Greyhounds pulled away.
