Casper Ware scored with 11 seconds left Saturday night to give Long Beach State a 70-69 victory over Pacific.

Ware finished with 18 points and five assists for the 49ers (11-8, 6-0 Big West), who won their sixth straight game. Greg Plater added 16 points, while Larry Anderson had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Sam Willard led Pacific (10-8, 2-3) with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

Long Beach State trailed 67-60 with 2:49 remaining before scoring eight unanswered points. Ware hit a jump shot with 56 seconds left to put the 49ers ahead 68-67.

Pacific had two turnovers, a missed 3-pointer and a missed free throw during that run. A pair of free throws from Allen Huddleston put the Tigers back on top 69-68 with 19 seconds left.

Ware hit the game-winner when he drove and pulled up near the right edge of the free-throw line. Demetrece Young missed a jumper from the baseline at the buzzer for Pacific.
