Tavares Speaks made four of Liberty's final six free throws as the Flames relied on the foul line in a 67-65 win over Radford Saturday.
Liberty (8-15, 3-8 Big South Conference) was 22 of 26 from the stripe (84.6 percent), including 6 of 6 in the final 27 seconds.
The Flames led 61-60 with 1:14 left before Speaks made all four of his free throws, and Jesse Sanders hit both of his.
Radford's Chance Smith scored on a layup with 1 second left for the final margin.
Liberty trailed 33-24, 48 seconds into the second half, and used a 12-3 run to tie it. Antwan Burrus, who finished with 15 points, scored six during the spurt.
David Minaya added 15 points for the Flames, Jesse Sanders 11 and Speaks 10.
Javonte Green led the Highlanders (4-20, 1-11) with 20 points. Radford has now lost 19 of its past 20.
