Jim Mower scored 20 points and Lafayette's second-half defense helped the Leopards pull away for a 67-46 victory over Army Wednesday night.

The Leopards (11-17, 6-7 Patriot League) held the Black Knights to 22.7-percent shooting (5 of 22) in the second half, turning a six-point halftime lead into an advantage that reached 22 points. The Black Knights shot 45.8 percent in the first half (11 of 24) and trailed 36-30 at the break.

Ryan Willen also had 14 points for Lafayette, which snapped a three-game losing streak while sending Army (11-17, 4-9) to its sixth consecutive defeat. The Leopards swept the season series, having beaten Army 83-60 on Jan. 26.

Jeremy Hence led the Black Knights with 16 points and Josh Herbeck added 14. Army led only twice - on a Hence layup that made it 6-4 and on a shot by Herbeck that made it 19-17 following an early eight-point Lafayette lead.
