Jenkins' tip-in gives George Mason 60-59 win over Davidson

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) Jalen Jenkins' putback with 1.9 seconds left capped a 9-2 run that gave George Mason a 60-59 win over Davidson on Saturday.

Jenkins, who finished with 17 points, started the frantic closing seconds with a miss. Marko Gujanicic rebounded and missed before Jenkins won it.

Jack Gibbs, who had 30 points, had back-to-back jumpers that ended a 20-2 run that pushed the Wildcats to a 57-51 lead with 2:29 to play. Shevon Thompson made a pair of free throws and after a Gibbs miss, Otis Livingston II hit a 3 for the Patriots.

Gibbs pushed the lead back to 3 with 1:12 left but Jaire Grayer answered for George Mason with 49 seconds left. Brian Sullivan missed a 3 for Davidson at 19 seconds.

George Mason (9-16, 3-9 Atlantic 10) led by as many as 13 in the first half and 29-24 at the break.

Gibbs had his sixth 30-point game for Davidson (14-9, 6-6).
