James Madison 70, ETSU 45
A.J. Davis scored 17 points and James Madison never trailed in coasting to a 70-45 nonconference victory over East Tennessee State on Wednesday night.
Andrey Semenov got the Dukes (3-5) started with a 3-pointer and they led 14-2 after Enoch Hood's layup with 14:15 remaining in the first half.
They broke it open with a 16-0 second-half run that made it 54-23 with 11:48 left.
Lester Wilson scored 21 points for the Buccaneers (2-4), who shot just 28.8 percent (15 of 52). Sixteen of the freshman's points came in the final 10 minutes, after ETSU already trailed 56-24.
Andre Nation scored 11 points and Hood and Rayshawn Goins added nine each for James Madison.
Rashawn Rambert scored 12 for ETSU, which used only eight players after a series of injuries and dismissals. Four players played 34 minutes or more. No James Madison player logged more than 25 minutes.
