NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Derrik Jamerson drained seven 3-pointers, scored 23 points, C.J. Kelly added 19 and Norfolk State rallied from eight points down late in regulation to fend off upset-minded North Carolina Central 75-71 in overtime Saturday night.

The win keeps Norfolk State atop the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference at 10-1. North Carolina A&T is right behind at 9-2 after a win Saturday. The leaders meet Monday.

Jamerson was 7-for-7 from behind the 3-point arc. Jamerson and Nic Thomas made 3 of 4 free throws in the last 18 seconds of OT for Norfolk State (15-11).

Larry McKnight, Jr. led the Eagles (12-14) with 18 points, Randy Miller, Jr. added 17 — each hitting three 3-pointers. Raasean Davis added 14 points and 11 rebounds. A Miller 3-pointer cut the gap to 72-71 with 1:07 left in overtime, but he missed a 3 and a layup down the stretch.
