Jacksonville St pulls away from SE Missouri St, 74-60
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) Greg Tucker scored 15 points and Jacksonville State snapped a three game losing streak with a 74-60 win over SE Missouri State on Wednesday night.
JaQuail Townser added 13 points and Malcolm Drumwright finished with 11 points and seven assists for the Gamecocks (6-14, 2-3 Ohio Valley Conference), who won their first road game of the season.
Jacksonville State shot 50.9 percent from the field and won the rebounding battle 35-27.
The Gamecocks had a 10-0 run midway through the first half and led 38-23 at the break.
DelFincko Brogan made a pair of free throws, JaQuail Townser hit a layup, and Christian Cunningham added another free throw to extend the Jacksonville State lead to 65-44 with 5:46 left. The 21 point margin was its largest of the night.
Tony Anderson had 17 points for SE Missouri State (2-15, 0-5), which has lost five in a row.
