Indiana State finishes strong, beats Bradley 60-52

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) Khristian Smith, who nailed a 3-pointer with 5:18 left to give Indiana State the lead for good, had 16 points as the Sycamores beat Bradley 60-52 on Saturday.

The victory assures Indiana State (15-15, 11-7 Missouri Valley Conference) the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament that begins March 5.

Bradley had a 7-0 run to lead 47-46 with 5:52 left in the game, but the Sycamores held Bradley to just five points in the final 5:37, outscoring the Braves 14-5 in that period. Smith started that run with his trey.

Devonte Brown and Justin Gant each had 10 points, while Brown added 10 rebounds for Indiana State. The Sycamores outrebounded Bradley 45 to 34 and picked up 22 points in the paint while holding Bradley to 14.

Warren Jones led Bradley (8-23, 3-15) with 12 points. Donte Thomas had nine points and nine rebounds.
