Illinois-Chicago balance sinks Judson (Ill) 79-38

CHICAGO (AP) Ahman Fells and Paris Burns scored 12 points apiece as Illinois-Chicago overwhelmed Judson 79-38 on Tuesday night.

The Flames (4-11) had all 11 players score with Jason McClellan coming off the bench to add 10.

The Eagles (2-14), an NAIA school, shot just 29 percent, including 20 in the first half when they went 4-20 and trailed 45-14.

UIC only had two turnovers and harassed Judson into 19, including 17 steals. The Flames had 23 assists on 31 baskets, with Lance Whitaker getting five.

Judson was within 13-10 midway through the first half when Gabe Snider hit a 3-pointer to start a 17-0 run. Marc Brown and Jay Harris had three-point plays and Marcus White had a 3-pointer in the back-breaking surge.

After two free throws for Judson, the Flames had a 13-0 run with six different players scoring.
