Hummel hurts knee in first half

Purdue star Robbie Hummel has left the Boilermakers' game in the first half against Minnesota with an apparent injury to his right knee.

Hummel drove to the lane Wednesday night and his leg slipped as he tried to plant, then fell to the floor in pain as he clutched his knee. After being helped up, Hummel grimaced and couldn't put weight on the leg as he left the court.

Hummel was off to a strong start for the third-ranked Boilermakers, with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.
