Hooley's 27 lead Albany over Hartford 86-60

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Peter Hooley scored 27 points with four 3-pointers and 13 rebounds to help Albany beat Hartford 86-60 on Saturday night.

The Great Danes (17-6, 6-2 America East Conference) built their largest lead of 28 in the middle of the second half with a 15-2 run that ended on one of Hooley's 3s at 71-43. They matched that lead just before the conclusion at 86-58.

Hartford (7-16, 2-6) cut a 14-point, first-half deficit to 38-28 at the half, but the Hawks failed to get it down to single digits in the second.

Ray Sanders added 14 points and Mike Rowley and Greig Stire scored 10 each. Hooley was 4 of 9 from 3-point range and Sanders was 3 of 6.

Jalen Ross had 12 points to lead the Hawks and Jason Dunne scored 10.

Albany outrebounded Hartford 49-28.
