Holt scores 20, Providence rolls past Brown 95-57

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) Emmitt Holt scored 20 points, Rodney Bullock and Jalen Lindsey had 16 apiece and Providence cruised to a 95-57 win over Brown on Tuesday night.

The trio combined for 39 points in the first half when the Friars (7-2) shot 66 percent (21 of 32), making half of their 12 3-pointers and led 50-18.

Brown opened the game with a 3-pointer and then Providence took control by scoring the next 20. Lindsey had three 3s and Bullock had seven points.

Holt finished 9 of 10 from the field and had five rebounds and five assists, Bullock had eight rebounds and five assists, and Lindsey made 4 of 5 behind the arc.

Brown (5-5) shot just 26 percent in the first half but made half of its shots in the second. The Bears finished 3 of 17 behind the line.

Obi Okolie had 16 points for Brown.

It was Providence's 95th win in 124 games in the series.
