Charles Jenkins had 32 points, a career-high 13 assists and seven rebounds and Zygis Sestokas hit three 3-pointers in the second overtime and Hofstra beat James Madison 99-96 on Wednesday night, the Pride's 10th straight win over the Dukes. Sestokas, who finished with a career-high 19 points, almost tripled his season average of 3.7 points in the second overtime when he hit a 3 on three consecutive possessions for Hofstra (18-9, 10-6 Colonial Athletic Association). The win was the Pride's fourth straight overall and kept alive their chances for a first-round bye in the conference tournament. Nathaniel Lester had a career-high 22 points and matched his career-high with 11 rebounds for Hofstra, which is 11-2 this season in games decided by five points or fewer. Freshman Julius Wells had a career-high 32 points for the Dukes (17-11, 9-7), who had won four of five. The Pride, who came in next-to-last in shooting in the 12-team league at 38 percent, shot 53.8 percent from the field (35-of-65), the first time they shot better than 50 percent this season. Wells tied the game at 67 with a drive with 56 seconds left in regulation. Hofstra turned the ball over and the Dukes missed three chances to win it. Wells tied the game at 81 with 32 seconds left in the first overtime and Hofstra's Cornelius Vines missed a 3 at the buzzer. Sestokas, who was 5-for-8 on 3s, tied the game at 86 with 2:30 left in the second overtime. His last 3 gave Hofstra a 92-90 lead with 1:09 to play. The Pride led 96-90 with 27 seconds left but Wells hit his fourth and fifth 3s of the game to make it a 98-96 game with 3.5 seconds left. Mike Davis-Sabb made one free throw and Scooter Renkin, who went into the game for the first time after the free throw, missed a 3-point attempt from about 25 feet at the buzzer.
