Nick Barbour scored a school-record 44 points as High Point ended its regular season with a 98-60 rout of Campbell in a Big South Conference game Wednesday night.

Barbour made 11 of 17 shots, including 7 of 10 from 3-point range, and sank 15 of 17 free throws. The senior guard also became the leading career scorer for the Panthers (12-17, 8-10) in Division I play with 2,092 points, surpassing Arizona Reid's 2,069.

High Point led 51-17 at halftime after shooting 59.3 percent (16 of 27) to 25 percent (6 of 24) for the Camels (17-13, 11-6). Barbour had 23 first-half points.

The victory kept the Panthers in the running for one of the final two first-round byes in the conference tournament. Campbell already has earned a bye.

Shay Shine had 16 points and eight rebounds for High Point.

Trey Freeman and Darren White scored 18 points each for Campbell.
