Hartford tops Dartmouth 53-48

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Yolonzo Moore II had 13 points and five rebounds to lead Hartford to a 53-48 win over Dartmouth on Wednesday.

Mark Nwakamma tallied nine points, six rebounds and two steals, and Nate Sikma added nine points for Hartford (2-1).

Gabas Maldunas finished with 12 points, on 5-of-5 shooting, and had nine rebounds and Alex Mitola added 16 points for Dartmouth (0-2).

Hartford went on an 8-0 run, capped by a Sikma 3-pointer, midway through the first half for a 19-11 lead. Later, Dartmouth scored the final seven points of the half and didn't allow a Hartford field goal in the final 4 minutes to pull within 30-26.

Corban Wroe put Hartford up 49-44 with 1:07 left in the game. Then Maldunas hit two free throws with 54 seconds left to pull Dartmouth within three. Sikma and Nwakamma went 4 for 4 from the line to seal it.
