ALBANY, N.Y. (AP)Jaret von Rosenberg scored 21 points and ninth-seeded Hartford broke a 14-game losing streak with a 65-56 win over No. 8 Maine Friday in the America East Tournament's first round. The Hawks, whose last win was over Maine on Jan. 14, advanced to play No. 1 seed Binghamton Saturday in the tournament semifinals. The win raised Hartford's record to 7-25. Maine lost for the 10th time in 11 games to finish the season 9-21. Earlier Friday, von Rosenberg was named third team All-America East and grabbed a spot on the league's All-Academic team. He then led his team to its third win in 17 conference games and became the 22nd player in Hartford's history to reach 1,000 career points with a key basket with 4:15 left. Morgan Sabia added 13 points for the Hawks. Gerald McLemore, named to the league's All-Rookie team Friday, led Maine with 13 points.
