Sophomore forward Blake Griffin was forced to miss the battle in Norman after sustaining a concussion and a bloody nose in the first half of Saturday night's loss at Texas, Sooners coach Jeff Capel announced Monday. Griffin, who played 11 minutes and scored just two points prior to leaving the game, suffered the injury when he was hit in the face by Longhorns big man Dexter Pittman.

Griffin's return to action is still up in the air, Capel said.

Griffin is averaging 22.0 points and a nation-best 13.8 rebounds while shooting a Big 12-best .632 from the field. He also leads the country with 22 double-doubles.
