Goodluck leaving Vegas: Shot-blocker reportedly transferring
UNLV sophomore forward Goodluck Okonoboh is reportedly leaving the program.
Taylor Bern of the Las Vegas Sun reported on Friday night that Okonoboh had decided to transfer.
The 6-foot-10 Boston native averaged 5.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in 26.7 minutes per game as a freshman, but his playing time has dipped six games into his second season as Oregon transfer Ben Carter and five-star freshman Stephen Zimmerman have cut into his minutes. And next season, Chris Obekpa, another shot-blocking big man, will be eligible.
Okonoboh logged only eight minutes in UNLV's win over Indiana. It was just the second time in his career that he played less than 10 minutes.
Okonoboh committed to UNLV in October 2013 over Indiana, Ohio State, Duke and Florida.
