Gonzaga expecting Harris to return

Gonzaga standout Elias Harris is expected to play Monday against Kansas State.
Harris suffered an Achilles injury late in last week’s loss to San Diego State – one in which the sophomore forward said he heard a “pop.”
However, an MRI exam disclosed that he did not suffer a torn Achilles and he was expected to miss about a week.
A source told FOXSports.com that Harris went through a workout on Sunday in Kansas City and he’s expected to play Monday against the third-ranked Wildcats in the CBE Classic.
Harris, who averaged 14.9 points and 7.1 rebounds last season as a freshman, has gotten off to a slow start.
He’s averaging just 7.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in three games, but part of that stems from a shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason.
If the 'Zags get past Kansas State, they would play the winner of the matchup between No. 1 Duke and Marquette in the CBE Championship game on Tuesday night.
