Appalachian State's Jacob Lawson sunk two free throws to extend the Mountaineers lead to 100-97 with only five seconds left Monday night.

Georgia Southern needed a 3-pointer to tie, but instead got an improbable game-winning four-point play from Mike Hughes. Check out the play in the video above.

The 6-foot-3 sophomore guard launched a 35-foot shot, drilling the last-second heave while also drawing the foul. Hughes finished off the four-point play with a free throw with less than a second remaining on the clock.

Hughes ended with 19 points and nine rebounds.
