Taking full control of Georgetown's offense, Hollis Thompson and Jason Clark combined to make the team's first 12 baskets on Monday night and finished with a total of 36 points, leading the Hoyas to a 86-45 victory over UNC Greensboro.

Thompson, the Hoyas' only junior, made 5 of 6 3-point attempts and scored 19 points. Clark, one of only two seniors, had all 17 of his points by halftime, when Georgetown (2-0) led 41-16.

Markel Starks added 11 points, all in the second half, as Georgetown heads into its Nov. 21 game against 12th-ranked Kansas in the Maui Invitational.

UNC Greensboro (0-2), of Southeastern Conference, started last season 0-15. Trevis Simpson led the Spartans with 11 points.
