Jason Dawson scored a career-high 19 points as Gardner-Webb defeated Campbell 78-72 Thursday night, snapping the Camels' four-game winning streak.

The Runnin' Bulldogs (10-12, 5-5 Big South Conference), who had lost three in a row, ran off 10 consecutive points to take a 50-47 lead with 10:17 remaining.

Campbell (14-9, 8-3) rallied to tie the game three times, the last at 66-66 after a steal and layup by Darren White, but it never regained the lead.
