Tim Steed scored a career-high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Fresno State pulled away late in the second half to defeat Pepperdine 64-51 on Saturday night.
Greg Smith added 14 points for the Bulldogs (3-5), who seized the momentum with a 13-4 run midway through the second half.
Keion Bell scored a game-high 18 points for Pepperdine (4-8) and Taylor Darby added 13. Both finished with six rebounds.
Fresno State won its second straight following a four-game losing streak despite shooting 36.7 percent from the field.

Bell scored 13 of his 18 points in the first half, but the Waves still trailed 30-26 at halftime.
