FOX Hoops Road Trip: Fans choreograph clever flop aimed at OK State's Smart

Oklahoma State'€™s Marcus Smart is one of the best point guards in college basketball and a projected lottery pick in the upcoming NBA draft. He's a fierce competitor, he'€™s versatile in the backcourt and undoubtedly one of the best playmakers in America.

In addition, Smart is also known for his Oscar-worthy acting on the defensive end. Several times this season he has attempted to bait officials into calling an offensive foul by flailing his arms and hitting the deck, often without being touched by the opposing ball handler.

Maybe his best performance of the year came against Iowa State when he pulled off the seldom seen "double flop,"€ an acting job that should ha™ve earned him a nomination alongside Matthew McConaughey and Leonardo DiCaprio at the Academy Awards.

Iowa State faithful in Cyclone Alley, Hilton Coliseum's student section, remember that double flop well and were ready for his trip in Ames on Saturday. When Smart was introduced to the crowd before the game, ISU students gave him a taste of his own medicine with a "MASSIVE student section flop,"€ executed to perfection.

Michael Harris, a junior at ISU, gets the credit for organizing it. Harris created a Cyclone Alley Flop Facebook page to get his fellow students onboard and passed out instructions prior to the game:

Harris encouraged fans to "€œREALLY overdo it" and "€œact like you've been knocked across the face."

"These are methods we've learned from the legend himself; Marcus Smart,"€ he wrote.

Cyclone Alley also flopped during Smart's free-throw attempts. One fan went as far as to create a "€œMarcus Smart flop counter,"€ a sign also seen when Oklahoma State visited Oklahoma in January.
