Florida Atlantic has 36-0 run in win over Edward Waters

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) Adonis Filer scored 17 points and Florida Atlantic rolled past Edward Waters 98-64 with a 36-0 second-half run on Sunday for the Owls' first victory.

Nick Rutherford added 16 points and eight rebounds, Jailyn Ingram had 16 points, Frank Booker 15, Gerdarius Troutman 12 and Ronald Delph 10 rebounds with eight points.

The Owls (1-3) led by nine at half before shooting 58.1 percent in the second half in racing away from the Tigers with 36 unanswered points during a run that covered over nine minutes and left FAU ahead by 45 points.

Booker and Troutman led the Owls with four of their 10 3-pointers out of 25 attempts. The Tigers outrebounded the Owls 43-42 but had 17 turnovers that led to 20 points. Oshey Washington had 14 points and seven rebounds and Keith Williams Jr. added 12 points for the NAIA Tigers, who played the game as an exhibition.
