Marvin Roberts scored 26 points to lead Florida International to an 83-76 overtime victory over Troy in the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday night.

Jeremy Allen hit two consecutive 3-pointers in the first 1:37 of overtime and Roberts' three-point play with 56 seconds left gave the Panthers an 81-75 lead.

Allen and DeJuan Wright each finished with 16 points for the Panthers (10-18, 5-11 Sun Belt Conference).

Both teams had an opportunity to break a 72-72 tie during regulation, but Wright missed a reverse layup with 32 seconds remaining and Troy's Will Weathers drove for an 8-foot open jump shot, which bounced off the rim with 2 seconds to go.

Vernon Taylor's driving basket with 2:05 left gave the Trojans (8-20, 6-10) a 72-71 lead. Florida International tied it at 72 on Wright's free throw with 1:42 left.

Regis Huddleston led Troy with 19 points and while Taylor and Travis Lee finished with 18 points. Lee scored all his points on 3-pointers.

Florida International swept the season series, winning 81-80 in overtime at Troy on Feb. 3.

Troy attempted 45 shots from behind the arc and converted 14. Florida International outscored the Trojans 32-8 on free throws.

The Trojans took a 44-37 lead with eight unanswered points early in the second half. Lee keyed the run with two 3-pointers.

Levan Patsatsias' layup with 10:21 remaining gave the Trojans their biggest lead at 60-51.
