Kamil Svrdlik scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half, when Fairleigh Dickinson rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat Central Connecticut State 48-46 in a Northeast Conference game on Saturday.

A layup by Svrdlik with 40 seconds to play gave the Knights (3-3, 2-0) a 46-45 lead, which they did not relinquish. Fairleigh Dickinson shot 60.9 percent (14 for 23) in the second half to 33.3 percent (8 for 24) for the Blue Devils (4-3, 1-1).

Mike Scott scored six of his 14 points for the Knights during a 10-2 run in which they took a 40-39 lead with 6:23 remaining after trailing 37-30.

After the Blue Devils regained a three-point lead, 45-42, with 3:25 left, a layup by Scott brought Fairleigh Dickinson within one at the 2:36 mark.

Markeys Deans scored 11 points and Ken Horton and Robby Ptacek 10 each for Central Connecticut State.
