Casey Walker scored 21 points and Delaware State defeated Howard 63-46 on Saturday night for the Hornets 10th win in their last 11.
Delaware State (14-12, 11-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) shot 52.6 percent from the field (20 of 38), helped out by Howard miscues.
The Bison turned it over 16 times, leading to 20 Hornets' points.
Walker was 7-of-10 shooting, including 4 of 6 from long range.
Delaware State led 38-35 with 13:14 to play and went on a 13-1 run over the next 3:40. Walker capped the spurt with a dunk, was fouled and finished the three-point play to put the Hornets ahead 51-36 with 9:34 left.
The Hornets won their 10th straight MEAC game.
Prince Okoroh and Alphonso Leary led the Bison (9-20, 6-10) with 13 points each.
Howard shot just 25 percent (6 of 24) in the second half, missing all seven of its 3-pointers.
