Dawkins' 3s allows Jacksonville to hold off Marist, 69-68

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Darius Dawkins hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final 3:35 to allow Jacksonville to hold off Marist, 69-68 Tuesday night.

Dawkins second trey gave the Dolphins a three-point lead, 69-66 with 2:05 to play, but Jacksonville did not score again.

Khallid Hart pulled Marist within one, 69-68 with 1:18 left, but missed a layup with 43 seconds left for the lead.

Isaiah Lamb gave Marist the lead with 5:32 left on a 3-pointer on a feed from Kristinn Palsson and Brian Parker did it again with 4:31 left on a three-point play to make it 62-61.

Marcel White hit 4 of 4 from beyond the arc and finished with 20 points to lead Jacksonville (6-8), with Kori Babineaux adding 17 points and Dawkins 12.

Hart finished with 21 points to lead the Red Foxes, hitting 3 of 7 from long range. Parker added 16 points and Lamb contributed 11.
