Noruwa Agho scored 24 points, making 6 of 10 shots from 3-point range, as Columbia closed its nonconference schedule by defeating Union (N.Y.) 64-59 on Saturday.

The Lions (9-5) used a 10-0 streak to break a 41-41 tie with their Division III opponent. Brian Barbour started it with a 3-pointer and also had a layup during the run.

Columbia's last eight games have been decided by six points or fewer, with the Lions winning six.

Joe Mason scored 14 points for the Dutchmen (8-3), including a layup that tied the score 36-36 with 17:20 remaining. It was tied twice more before Columbia went ahead to stay.

Union led 18-17 with 9:22 left in the first half after trailing 17-9, but Columbia scored the next 10 points and led 34-28 at halftime.

Agho moved into 12th place on Columbia's career list for 3-pointers made with 111 and into 27th place in points with 938.
