Colorado St. 94, Dominican, Calif. 50
Will Bell came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points as Colorado State cruised to its sixth consecutive victory 94-50 against Dominican on Thursday at the Hilltop Challenge.
It was the biggest margin of victory this season for the Rams (10-3), who easily handled the NCAA Division II Penguins (0-9) to extend their best winning streak under fourth-year coach Tim Miles. It's tied for 11th-best all-time in school history.
Colorado State opened the second half with a 16-2 run to expand its lead to 31 points and never looked back. The Rams shot 58.3 percent from the field, outscored the overmatched Penguins in the paint 38-10 and created 28 points off 23 Dominican turnovers.
Adam Chavis led the Penguins with 11 points while Ian Collins added eight.
