SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) Adjehi Baru made a free throw with 19.4 seconds remaining to give College of Charleston a 61-60 victory over George Mason in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off's seventh-place game on Sunday.
George Mason senior Vaughn Gray had a chance to win the game with a 3-point shot from the corner, but it rimmed out as time expired.
The game featured seven ties and five lead changes.
Canyon Barry led the Cougars with 17 points. Charleston also (2-3) got a boost from the return of Baru, who sat out Friday's loss to Texas A&M with soreness. He wore a brace on his right knee Sunday and finished with 10 points.
