Andrew Lawrence scored a career-high 25 points and College of Charleston defeated Chattanooga 87-85 in double overtime Saturday for the Cougars' fourth straight win.

Lawrence reeled off seven points in the last 13 seconds of regulation, forcing overtime with a layup with 1 second on the clock. Charleston (7-1, 2-0 Southern Conference) had rallied from 67-63 with 12 seconds to go.

The Cougars did most of their scoring in the extra periods from the free-throw line, hitting 10 of 13 compared to 2 of 4 for the Mocs (2-6, 0-2).

Charleston led 86-82 with 9 seconds remaining, then Chattanooga's Ricky Taylor hit a 3 with 4 seconds to go. Anthony Stitt, who finished with 20 points for the Cougars, made a free throw and Keegan Bell missed the potential game-winner at the buzzer.

Trent Wiedeman had 15 points and 12 rebounds for Charleston.

Chris Early's 18 points led the Mocs.
