Kyle Roemer scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Colgate defeated Holy Cross 79-74 in overtime on Wednesday night.
It was the third overtime win in conference play this season for the Raiders (9-18, 5-8 Patriot League).
With the game tied 63-63 and 17 seconds left in regulation, Andrew Keister made one of two free throws for the Crusaders (8-20, 5-8). Colgate's Yaw Gyawu was fouled with 0.7 seconds left after grabbing Mitch Rolls' missed 3-point try, but he also made just one of two.
After the teams traded the first two baskets in overtime, Roemer scored seven straight points for the Raiders to give them a 73-70 lead.
Mike Cavataio's layup brought Holy Cross within one before Rolls and Nick Pascale made all six free throws down the stretch to seal the Raiders' win.
Cavataio led the Crusaders with 19 points and Keister added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
