Coastal Carolina beat Charleston Southern 68-60

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) Shivaughn Wiggins scored 18 points with six assists and Coastal Carolina beat Charleston Southern 68-60 on Thursday night.

Jaylen Shaw added 10 points for the Chanticleers (17-10, 11-6 Big South) and Tristian Curtis grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with eight points.

Raemond Robinson paced the Buccaneers (9-20, 5-13) with 17 points. Aaron Wheeler had 11 points with nine rebounds and Wesley Johnson added 10 points and eight boards.

Charleston Southern led 37-29 with 32 seconds left in the first half, but didn't score again until 12:11 to go in the game. During the scoreless streak, Coastal Carolina passed the Bucs on Curtis' dunk at 13:33 of the second half, and the Chanticleers led the rest of the way.

The Bucs cut the deficit to four with 2:55 to go, but Shaw responded with a 3-pointer after an offensive board and Coastal Carolina held on.
