Jeremy Montgomery scored nine of his 11 points in the first five minutes of the second half, and Cleveland State rallied to beat Toledo 72-64 on Wednesday night.

The Vikings (12-2) trailed 36-30 at halftime before going on a 23-4 run to open the second half. Charlie Lee's layup capped the spurt for a 53-40 lead with 12:05 to play.

Trey Harmon paced Cleveland State with 14 points, D'Aundray Brown added 13 and Tim Kamczyc had 11.

The Vikings shot 55.2 percent from the field in the second half (16 of 29), while scoring 16 points off 10 turnovers in the period.

Toledo finished with 18 turnovers, its most since committing 20 in a season-opening loss to Texas State on Nov. 18.

Curtis Dennis led the Rockets (7-6) with 14 points, Matt Smith had 13 and Reese Holliday had 12.
