Keegan Bell scored 23 points and Chattanooga broke a two-game losing streak against Elon with a 71-65 win Friday night.

Chattanooga (5-6, 3-0) trailed 53-52 with 7:42 to play and took the lead for good after a 6-0 run made the score 58-53 with 5:34 to go. There were 11 lead changes and neither team led by more than 10 points. Chattanooga made 8 of 9 free throw attempts in the final 2:16.

Omar Wattad added 16 points and DeAntre Jefferson had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Mocs, who have won three of their past four games.

Chattanooga ourtrebounded Elon 48-31 and scored 15 second-chance points on 13 offensive rebounds.

Jack Isenbarger scored 22 points to lead the Phoenix (4-6, 0-3), who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Drew Spradlin, who hit 11 of 20 3-pointers in the previous four games, had six points and missed all six of his 3-point tries.
