CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Aaron Wheeler scored 14 points and Armel Potter sank the winning free throws to lift Charleston Southern to a 64-63 win over Liberty on Thursday night.

Charleston Southern (6-11, 2-4 Big South) had led by as many as 14 in the second half but Liberty (5-14, 2-4) rallied with a 16-2 run capped by Ezra Talbert's 3-pointer to make it 46-45 with 9:58 left. Six lead changes later, Potter sank a pair of free throws to put Charleston Southern back on top and this time the Buccaneers hung on as Liberty missed three straight 3-pointers down the stretch and Reuben King got the final defensive rebound to seal the win.
